ASTOMOYOTO

This session with Astomoyoto, a unique artist from Trois-Rivières, was marked by an unexpected adventure. Describing his music as “flourishing poetry in pop-prog music,” Astomoyoto brought us into a rich and evocative sonic world. Initially, we had planned to shoot at the old observatory of Cégep de Trois-Rivières, but upon arrival, we discovered it had been demolished.

What followed was an impromptu road trip through the surrounding countryside. For nearly an hour, we searched for the perfect spot until we stumbled upon a secluded, almost magical location. Just as we began shooting, strong winds picked up, the sky darkened, and a storm began approaching. Yet, Astomoyoto remained unshaken, delivering his performance with calm and focus, as nature added its own dramatic touch to the moment. This session is a true reflection of that unexpected journey—where the unpredictability of the elements merged with Astomoyoto’s captivating music, creating a raw, unforgettable experience.
